Beer pong and a heatwave

Welcome party

On Friday there was another welcome party from Hutong School. They have one every month, because new people keep arriving. It was a lot busier than they had expected: there were more than 50 people, so a great atmosphere! The only downside was that the beer ran out fairly quickly, so that was a bit of a problem!

Hutong School often organises fun activities. This week, for example, some people from Hutong School are going out for dinner tomorrow evening, some kind of grilled fish. On Friday there's KTV again, or as we know it, karaoke! So there's always something fun going on.

Heatwave

It's also been incredibly hot the last few days, which is why I haven't done that much and so don't have much to tell. At the weekend it was over 30 degrees. Today it was easily above 25 degrees again, but it was raining. Then you get that really humid heat, which isn't very pleasant. This is what the forecast looks like here, though I should add that it always gets about 3 degrees warmer than they predict:

Beijing (Peking)

I've had some more information about Beijing. I'll probably go to Beijing from 10 to 19 May, so a nice time of year! Right after that is the week I have to go to Shanghai Polytechnic University, from 21 to 26 May. That week I'll get classes on Chinese culture, language and doing business in China. Very interesting!

Apart from that, everything here is still going perfectly,
