Next week I'll be in Shanghai!

It won't be long now before I have to leave. My flight to Shanghai is already this Saturday.

It's starting to get a bit more exciting now. But I have to be honest: it still doesn't really feel like I'll be on the other side of the world next week!

I've already found a VPN so that I can still use all my programs and accounts in China. China has a national firewall that blocks a lot of internet traffic. For an overview of all the sites blocked in China, you can click here. I chose ExpressVPN. It's one of the fastest and most secure VPNs there is.

What's still a bit annoying is that I haven't heard where exactly I'll be staying. They also haven't passed on the details of how and when they'll pick me up at the airport. But I trust it'll be fine. I recently got an email saying I'll soon get the details for the airport pick-up, and also an email saying they're working on the accommodation. I assume they wouldn't send those if there were problems.

For now it's a matter of waiting!
